라이브 방송 환경을 구축하면서 가장 큰 고민 중 하나는 바로 안정적인 전원 공급이었습니다. 특히 소니 A7R4A 카메라를 장시간 사용해야 하는 만큼, 효율적인 전원 연결 방식이 필수적이었죠. 여러 방법을 모색한 끝에 CF to CM 타입 케이블을 활용하는 것이 가장 빠르고 확실한 해결책임을 깨달았습니다. 처음에는 간편한 방법을 찾다가 이중 투자가 발생하기도 했지만, 다양한 기기를 활용하는 저에게는 오히려 유연성을 더해주는 계기가 되었습니다.

여기에 추가적으로 CM to USB 3.1 변환 케이블을 구입했습니다. 현재 보유하고 있는 인산철 배터리가 아쉽게도 USB 단자로 되어 있었기 때문인데요. 비록 구형이 된 USB 포트이지만, 아직까지는 현역으로 충분히 제 역할을 해주고 있습니다.
최종적으로는 CF to CM 케이블과 CM to USB 변환 케이블을 연결하여 인산철 배터리에서 카메라로 전원을 공급하는 방식이 완성되었습니다. 만약 소니 카메라의 더미 배터리 케이블 길이가 충분했다면 이토록 복잡한 연결 구성을 할 필요가 없었을 텐데, 아쉽게도 기본 케이블 길이가 짧아 이러한 방식으로 우회해야만 했습니다. 1.5m 정도만 되었어도 훨씬 좋았을 텐데 하는 아쉬움이 남습니다.
이제 실전만이 남았다
이렇게 공들여 전원 솔루션을 완성했습니다. 매주 토요일 라이브 방송을 진행할 때 이 방식을 활용할 계획입니다. 부디 아무 문제 없이 잘 진행되기를 바랍니다. 소니 A7R4A 카메라를 너무 혹사시키는 것은 아닌가 하는 생각도 들지만, 안정적인 라이브 방송을 위해서는 최선을 다해야겠죠!

My Journey to a Perfect Power Solution for Live Streaming
One of the biggest hurdles in setting up my live streaming environment was figuring out a stable power supply. Since I need to use my Sony A7R4A camera for extended periods, an efficient power connection was absolutely crucial. After exploring various options, I realized that using a CF to CM type cable was the quickest and most reliable solution. While my initial attempts to find a simpler method led to some double investment, it ultimately gave me more flexibility given the diverse range of equipment I use.
An Unexpected Challenge, and the Solution
Finding a CF to CM cable wasn’t straightforward, as it’s not a common C-type cable that most people look for. However, given my workflow involves connecting various devices, this unique cable configuration was an unavoidable choice. Thankfully, I was confident that as long as this method worked without issues, the specific cable type wouldn’t be a major problem for my work.
In addition to this, I purchased a CM to USB 3.1 conversion cable. This was necessary because my existing LiFePO4 battery, unfortunately, only had a USB output. Although it’s an older USB port, it still performs perfectly fine for my current needs.
The final setup involved connecting the CF to CM cable to the camera and then linking it to the CM to USB conversion cable, which is then plugged into my LiFePO4 battery. If the dummy battery cable for my Sony camera had been longer, I wouldn’t have needed such a complex setup. It’s a bit disappointing that the original cable was so short; even 1.5 meters would have made a huge difference.
Now, It’s Time for Action!
With the power solution now complete, I plan to use this setup for my live broadcasts every Saturday. I truly hope everything runs smoothly without any hitches. Sometimes I wonder if I’m overworking my Sony A7R4A camera, but providing a stable live broadcast means putting in my best effort!
